Does Drinking Water Make You Lose Weight?

Many people find that they are losing the war to lose weight. Everyday, we hear the huge cry of frustrations for the lack of results. Of course, we do not expect miracles but losing weight does take a lot of planning and the right strategy for your body. An important strategy is to have a good diet plan and that must include water as a regular part of the diet plan. It has been proven that drinking water makes you lose weight and the following reasons explains why you need to include it in your diet plan.

An important reason to include water as a part of any healthy weight loss plan is helps to speed up your metabolism. When people discuss the idea of the body’s metabolism in the context of weight loss, they may be discussing a variety of topics. What they should be discussing, though, is the idea that the liver has the ability to convert the fat it has stored into energy that your body can burn off. This means, quite literally, weight loss. This is simply not possible without the correct amount of water intake during your daily diet. The liver has a number of jobs within your body and that include taking care of the kidneys to work properly.

As the kidneys cannot do their job well without the appropriate amount of water each day, in many human bodies, the liver must work much harder to avoid kidney problems. If you are making your liver work harder than it should to assist the kidneys because you fail to drink enough water each day, it cannot possibly work hard enough to convert enough stored fat into energy to truly make your current dieting experience worthwhile. This not only sets you back in terms of weight loss, it may set you up for further weight gain.

Another fact on how water make you lose weight is that water works quite well as an appetite curb. When you continually fill your stomach with water each day, it becomes very difficult for your body to feel hunger. The stomach works as any other simple machine might. Fill a cavity, and you cannot fit any more into that space until the cavity has been emptied. While it is quite true that water leaves the stomach fairly quickly, it is also true that the chances are good your stomach will be too full for that food carving.

Finally, the regular intake of water will help you to retain less water. The human body carries four to five pounds of water around at any given time. It, essentially, acts as a magnificent storage facility. If your body runs out of the water it needs to function properly, it can simply rely on the water it already has stored for use in the body. However, if you regularly give your body the water it needs to function, it will be far less likely to store as much water, thereby helping you lose a few extra pounds and proving the fact that water make you lose weight.

So how much water do we need to drink daily? Research showed that an average adult needs six to eight glasses of water everyday. You may experience some setbacks in the beginning to consume that quantity of water. You may also find that you go to the bathroom more than you would like to during the day.  If you find yourself running to the bathroom every four minutes, give yourself four days. You will be back to your normal bathroom schedule shortly.

Many agree that water makes you lose weight and some consider it as a weight loss miracle. I encourage you to include in your next diet plan and then share your results, good or bad, with your friends. I can confidently say that you will be absolutely amazed with the outcome.
